WOO-HOO!! RACE 5 FINISHES
5TH IN THE 40TH ANNUAL PALMS TO PINES AIR RACE, TAKING HOME A
FINE TROPHY AND SOME CASH MONEY!

40th Annual Palms to Pines Air Race Aug 14-16th:
The Annual Palms to Pines Air Race for women starts from
Santa Monica Airport on Friday morning at 9am, and will end at
Bend Airport, Oregon before the 12:00 noon deadline on the
following day. The two enroute timed fly-bys are at Merced
Airport and at Red Bluff Municipal Airport. Redmond Airport is
also a timed fly-by. Everyone will remain overnight at Red
Bluff. Flying will be done only during daylight hours and in
good weather.

breakfast meeting and plan our events for next year. Also
meet with her airport group to discuss airmarking for their

Scholarships:

The Rio Colorado Chapter 99s is offering three different
scholarships in 2008. Deadline for our next application
submissions-February 1, 2009 and August 1, 2009.
